Churchtown · St Issey · Cornwall
Good food, good beer and good company, in the heart of the village between Wadebridge and Padstow. Pull up a chair and stay awhile.
The Ringers
The Ring o’ Bells sits in the middle of St Issey, a 17th-century inn behind a slate-hung front, two and a half miles from Padstow and a few minutes off the Atlantic Highway. Inside there are beams, an inglenook, a proper bar and a separate dining room — and out the back, a small walled courtyard that catches the sun.
It is run as a village pub first: a place for locals, friends, families, dogs, laughs and good times. Everything is home-cooked, the welcome is warm, and there is no dress code beyond boots off the good chairs.
Free parking and free WiFi. Rated 5 — Very Good by the Food Standards Agency at its July 2025 inspection.

More than just a pub
A village pub earns its keep the rest of the week too. Here is what is on besides dinner — the diary for live music and one-off nights lives on our Facebook page.
Regularly
Local acts through the year, singalong nights and the odd bit of karaoke. Dates go up on Facebook.
Any time
We have multiple games to play — grab one from the corner, get a round in and settle in for the afternoon.
Private hire
Birthdays, wakes, christenings and club nights. Ring us and we will talk it through — numbers, food and the room.
Dogs & rooms
Dogs are welcome in the bar — this is farming country and a well-behaved dog under the table is the most normal thing in the world here. There is water down, and Jax will want to say hello.
There are bed and breakfast rooms upstairs, kept for people who would rather wake up in the village than drive to it. Padstow, the Camel Trail and the seven bays are all a short run from the door. Ring us to check what is free.
